Group Class Descriptions
Progressive Suzuki Classes:
Amati’s progressive Suzuki Classes allow students to stay for as much or as little of the class as they feel comfortable with. Students may enter at 30 and 45 minute intervals depending on their level. Beginner students should attend at least the first 30 minutes, Book 1 students should attend at least the middle 30 minutes, and Book 2 students should attend at least the last 45 minutes of the class.Students are welcome to observe portions of the class that are at a higher level of playing, or to come early to do a review of polished pieces. During the progressive classes, students & parents are asked to enter without talking and exit without talking, in order not to disrupt ongoing class.
RCM Technique Classes:
RCM Technique classes cover 3 levels of technique. Each student is encouraged to learn the technique at the other grades of the class, for review & for challenge. These classes cover the material in RCM Examination Series. Teachers will hand out a class material schedule at the first class each semester.Children’s Choir:
Students will learn the basic fundamentals of choral singing and performance skills in a fast paced, fun atmosphere. Classical, folk, contemporary and musical theatre are just some of the repertoire which will be covered in this class. There will be performance opportunities during the year.Progressive Guitar Group Classes:
Guitar group classes are a great opportunity for students to practice and perform with a group. As this is a progressive class, students can enter at beginner or intermediate levels. A description of the class is available from Derek Sterling upon registration. Class will cover both technique and performance skills.Orchestra:
